Location

Tumut Rifle Range, a 1,000 yard range operated by the Tumut Rifle Club, is located upon Rifle Range, Tumut. NSW 2720.

The range is capable of operating three fullbore targets for calibres up to 8mm, providing for centre fire rifle shooting at ranges of 300 and 400 metres, and 500, 600, 700, 800, 900 and 1,000 yards.

In addition to this access to the range is provided to SSAA (Tumut Branch) with facilities for rim fire shooting at ranges of 25 to 100 metres.

Range Operating Days:

  • Tuesday – Sighting in and load practise by appointment;
  • Wednesday – Sighting in and load practise by appointment;
  • Thursday – Sighting in and load practise by appointment;
  • Saturday (Dec-Feb) – 9am on the 1st, 3rd & 5th Saturday of each month;
  • Saturday (Mar-Nov) – 1pm on the 1st, 3rd & 5th Saturday of each month;
  • Sunday (Sep-May) – 9am on the 2nd & 4th Sunday of each month.
  • Sunday (Jun-Aug) – 1pm on the 2nd & 4th Sunday of each month.
